The meeting was opened by President, Tera Nielson.  All officers were present except for Junior VP, Sandy Ritter and Judge Advocate, Mary Lou Nelson.

Reading of Minutes:  The minutes of May 8, 2008 were approved as read.

Reading of Bills:  There were no bills.

Treasurers Report:  The balance on hand as of May 8, 2008 and to current, June 12, 2008 is $3080.10.

Chaplains Report:  Sandy Ritter will be going in at the end of June to set up an appointment to clear up and attach retina for clearer vision. Judy Bennett's hand surgery is improving everyday. Norm Sanborn is getting stronger everyday and is able to make some MCL events.

Reading of Communications:  There was none.

Report of Committees:  Bingo:  We were not scheduled.  Sam Dressler is making sure we are on the schedule for the rest of the year,

Sally's House: Linda Shurtleff reported that pajama's are needed.  The critical sizes are 8-10.

VA Picnic:  The auxiliary decided on August 2, 2008 at the VA nursing home for the picnic at noon. Workers come by 11:30 am.

Department of WA Convention:  Sam Dressler reported that $300.00 was raised from the Silent Auction for the Unit.  The ice cream social was a hit for Friday night. The stew and chili for Saturday Lunch was a success.

Unfinished Business:  There was none.

New Business:  It was moved by Linda Shurtleff that the unit give $300.00 for the Timmy Rubertt Education Fund. Judy Bennett seconded the motion. The motion carried. The treasurer will send card and $300.00 to Colene Rubertt.

Good of the Order:  Christine Nielsen went to the ParaOlympics in Mesa, AZ. Winners will be able to participate in Para Olympics in Beijing, China.  Turn in quilt squares to Linda Shurtleff for special project by the next meeting. 

Closing Ceremonies:  The meeting was adjourned to reconvene Thursday, July 10, 2008.
